Main Story are a modern UK kidswear brand producing clothes for the creative, imaginative, playful world of children. Their collections draw on inspiration from the world of art & design and each piece is designed to be comfortable, and provide ease of movement, using only soft natural fabrications, and organic qualities where available. Pieces that we hope you will pass on to be worn some more after they no longer fit.
The seventh collection from Main Story takes inspiration from the Hungarian artist Dora Maurer. Initially Dora's work appealed as a source of inspiration for use of geometric shape and colour but upon further exploration, it was also her approach to her work. Her investigation into movement, displacement, perception and transformation that happens in time. In creating works that displayed a sequence of actions; she created movement similar to the affect of a comic strip. Dora's approach was playful, accidental, experimental, just like Main Story!
